ABOUT AUGMENTIV

Intelligence for the work
that happens by hand.

AI has transformed work on screens. The skilled, physical work of science — the pipetting, plating and judgment at the bench — has barely been touched. Augmentiv is building the intelligence that guides and verifies that work, starting in the lab.

WHY WE EXIST

Models can now design experiments in seconds. Running them still takes weeks — and results too often come back with no way to know how they were made.

Augmentiv connects the teams who need experiments run with verified labs and the skilled operators inside them. Intelligent protocols turn a method into precise, runnable steps. Visual AI checks each step against the protocol. And every result arrives with a record of exactly how it was produced.

Our goal is simple: make experimental science accessible, reproducible and scalable for anyone with a good question — from large biotech programs to the one-person lab.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Principles we build by.

01

Proof, not promises

A result is only as good as the record behind it. Every run we deliver shows how it was done.

02

Skilled hands matter

The best science still depends on expert operators. We build tools that guide and credit them — not replace them.

03

Open the lab to more people

Great experiments shouldn’t require owning a building full of equipment. We connect good questions with great benches.

TEAM

Made by people who love the bench.

Between us, we’ve run experiments, built lab software and shipped AI at scale. Now we’re building the tools we always wished we’d had at the bench.

Portrait of Vince Alessi
Vince AlessiFOUNDER

Vince has been building scientific equipment since he was a teenager, and never really stopped. He founded and sold two companies, in robotics and advanced materials, then saw lab work from every side: leading AI at a Flagship Pioneering company, and serving as chief product officer at Deep Origin. Somewhere along the way he picked up 16 patents. Augmentiv is where all of those threads finally meet.

Portrait of Adi Badhwar
Adi BadhwarTECHNICAL CO-FOUNDER

Adi studied engineering in Delhi and Maryland, then spent 30 years building software, much of it for healthcare, and holds 13 issued patents. He co-founded Sum+R, an AI platform for clinical search, and was a member of technical staff on Stanford’s ARISE network, testing how AI models hold up on real clinical cases. At Augmentiv, he leads the technical side, making sure the models earn the trust people put in them.

Pradeep BanavaraAI LEAD

Pradeep has been shipping software for 25 years, starting at Sun Microsystems and going on to lead engineering at a string of startups. He served as CTO of the Microsoft Accelerator, then became a distinguished engineer at Walmart, where he ran technology strategy for its Massmart and ASDA markets. These days he’s teaching computers to understand pipetting, which he insists is harder than retail.

Deb PandraOPERATIONS LEAD

Deb trained as a software engineer in Buenos Aires and built her career in product, leading it at Parabolt through its acquisition by Globant. She moved into robotics at InOrbit, helping customers actually put robots to work, and then became CEO of MateBio, a scientific software company. At Augmentiv, she runs operations, from bringing new labs on board to keeping every run on track.
